Every summer, Constellations transforms Metz into a true open-air artistic exploration ground. Over the years, it has become one of the most emblematic cultural events in the Grand Est, this free festival invites residents and visitors to rediscover the city through monumental works, digital installations, street art, and immersive paths blending heritage and contemporary creation.
For its 10th edition, Constellations is thinking big. From June 25 to September 5, 2026, the program unfolds day and night with two major artistic routes. At nightfall, the digital route "Data-scapes" takes over the streets and monuments of Metz with interactive installations, audiovisual works, and a video mapping show projected onto the cathedral. To celebrate this anniversary, six iconic mappings from previous editions will return to the facade of Saint-Étienne Cathedral.
During the day, visitors can embark on a discovery of a new urban art route around the theme "Geopoetics of Tenderness." Murals, installations, and contemporary creations occupy the squares, gardens, and heritage sites of the city, offering a new perspective on public space and the urban landscape of Metz.
This year, the festival brings together more than 40 works and around forty artists from France and abroad. Its opening weekend, organized at Bliiida, also promises concerts, audiovisual performances, and immersive experiences to beautifully launch this anniversary edition.
Whether you are an art lover, a heritage enthusiast, a photographer, curious, or simply in search of a beautiful summer stroll, Constellations offers a unique experience where Metz becomes, for the duration of a summer, a vast living art gallery accessible to all.
